Before you hear this song, I just want to say a few words from me and from all of us in the Blue Wave Revival Band. Like a whole lot of people, we grew up hearing Dolly Parton’s voice somewhere in the background of our lives. On the radio, on television, in movies, at home, in the car — she was just always there. And somehow, she never felt distant. She felt familiar. Like somebody you knew.

What I always respected about Dolly was that she never seemed to forget where she came from. She could be larger than life and still talk about ordinary people, working families, hard times, love, heartbreak, and hope in a way that felt real.

So when we heard that she was gone, this one hit us.

The Blue Wave Revival Band is made up of fifteen veterans, and most of us have lived enough life to know how much music can stay with you. Certain songs become tied to memories, people, places, and moments you never forget. Dolly gave the world a whole lot of those songs.

We wanted to honor her in the best way we know how — with music.

We chose “I Will Always Love You” because right now, those words feel like they belong to everyone who loved her music and is having a hard time saying goodbye.

So from me and from every member of the Blue Wave Revival Band...

Thank you, Dolly.

Thank you for the songs, the laughter, the heart, and all those years of memories.

This is our tribute to you.

“I Will Always Love You.”

This song comes from a very personal place for us. We wore the uniform, raised our right hands, and promised to defend this country and its Constitution. Years later, we may have put the uniforms away, but we never put that oath away. “WE’RE NOT SUCKERS, WE’RE THE BACKBONE” is our way of standing up for every veteran, every military family, and every American who believes service and sacrifice still mean something. We traded our weapons for guitars and microphones, but we still have something to say. We served this country because we loved it, not because we expected praise, and certainly not to have that service dismissed or disrespected. This song has some anger in it, yeah, but underneath that anger is pride — pride in the men and women who served beside us, pride in the people who never came home, and pride in the country we still believe is worth fighting for. We are the Blue Wave Revival Band. We are veterans. We are musicians. And this is us saying loud and clear: we were never suckers. We are part of the backbone of America.

These Hands: An American Family Story is more than a collection of six songs from the Blue Wave Revival Band. It is the story of a family. Where they came from, what they carried with them, the sacrifices they made, and the life they helped build in America.

The album begins with “Mama Packed the Suitcase,” a story about leaving behind the familiar and taking a chance on something better. From there, “Las Vegas, We Built You Together” tells the story of immigrants and working families whose labor helped turn Las Vegas into the city we know today.

My Father’s Working Hands” brings the story closer to home, honoring a generation of fathers who didn't always talk much about sacrifice but showed their love through long days, hard work, and providing for their families. “Two Languages at the Kitchen Table” moves inside the family home, where two languages, two cultures, old traditions, and a new American life meet around the same table.

Then comes “These Hands Built America,” where one family's story becomes part of a much larger American story. America wasn't built by one kind of person or one generation. It was built by millions of working hands — immigrant hands, native-born hands, young hands, old hands, and the hands of people who simply wanted their children to have a better life.

The album closes with “Still Building America,” because that story isn't finished. Every generation adds another chapter. These songs are personal, but they aren't only about one family. They're for every family that packed a suitcase, crossed a border or an ocean, worked the jobs that needed doing, kept their traditions alive, raised their children, and eventually looked around and realized: We didn't just come to America. We helped build it.

The Blue Wave Dance Party was created with one simple idea: bring people together through music, hope, and action. So much of today's political conversation is filled with anger, fear, and division. We wanted to create something different. An album that makes people smile, gets them out of their chairs, and reminds them that democracy is worth celebrating and protecting. Every song is built around big dance beats, uplifting melodies, and positive energy because we believe hope is contagious.

This album isn't about arguing with people. It's about inspiring them. It's about reminding friends, families, and neighbors that every vote matters, every voice counts, and every person can make a difference. If these songs get people dancing, laughing, singing along, and then deciding to register, volunteer, or simply show up at the polls, then we've accomplished exactly what we set out to do.

We also designed The Blue Wave Dance Party to flow like one continuous celebration. Each track features instrumental intros and outros so DJs can blend the songs together into an energetic, non-stop dance experience that's perfect for rallies, parties, community events, and election-night celebrations.

Most of all, we hope this album leaves people feeling better than they did before they pressed play. We hope it reminds them that democracy isn't powered by fear—it's powered by people who care enough to participate. So turn it up, grab a friend, hit the dance floor, and then make a plan to vote. From all of us in the Blue Wave Revival Band, thank you for listening, thank you for believing that music can still bring people together, and thank you for being part of the party.

The Numbers Have Names By a 100% disabled Army veteran When I sat down to write "The Numbers Have Names," I wasn't thinking about politics or headlines. I was thinking about the faces of the people I served with, the friends who never made it home, and the families whose lives were changed forever. As a 100% disabled Army veteran, I've learned that war doesn't end when the shooting stops. It stays with you in ways most people never see. Every time I hear another casualty report, I don't hear numbers—I hear names. I see real people with dreams, families, and futures that were taken far too soon. This song comes straight from my heart, and I hope it reminds all of us to slow down, remember the true cost of war, and never let those sacrifices become just another statistic. As long as the Blue Wave Revival Band has a voice, we'll keep singing for the ones who can no longer sing for themselves.
